These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Career Sphere's services, including applicable career opportunities, Career Sphere Books, and marketplace offerings. They explain the responsibilities, rules, and conditions that apply when you use our platform.
01 Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CAREER SPHERE PLATFORM ("Career Sphere", "we", "us", or "our") regarding your use of our platforms, digital books ecosystem, career opportunities, and marketplace services. By accessing or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms.
02 Definitions and Service Scope
Career Sphere is an integrated ecosystem uniting professional opportunities, digital publishing (Career Sphere Books), and marketplace offerings. Different services across the platform may utilize separate account frameworks and independent authentication boundaries. Access to one sub-platform does not automatically provision privileges across all modules.
03 Eligibility
You must meet the legal age requirements in your jurisdiction to register an account or engage in financial transactions on Career Sphere. By using our services, you represent that all registration data you submit is truthful, accurate, and kept up to date.
04 Accounts and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account. You agree to notify Career Sphere immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate platform security or terms.
05 Career Opportunities and Career Services
Career Sphere provides access to career opportunities and professional resources managed by both Career Sphere and third-party organizations. We do not guarantee employment, interviews, admission, or specific career outcomes. Users are responsible for evaluating third-party listings independently.
06 Career Sphere Books
Career Sphere Books provides digital book discovery, reading sync, and publishing infrastructure. Readers and authors must adhere to platform reading guidelines, copyright laws, and acceptable use policies when engaging with digital titles.
07 Author Responsibilities
Authors publishing through Career Sphere Books warrant that they hold all necessary rights and permissions for submitted works. Authors must not submit infringing, plagiarized, fraudulent, or unlawful content, and must provide valid payout details.
08 Publishing Review and the Pending Hub
All book submissions are subject to editorial review and verification through our Pending Hub administrative workflow. Submission does not guarantee immediate publication, promotion, or commercial distribution.
09 Marketplace Services
Marketplace services and transactions must be conducted in good faith. Users agree to provide accurate service requests and abide by transaction standards without engaging in fraudulent or deceptive practices.
10 Payment Processing and Paystack
Payments, purchases, and subscriptions are processed securely via Paystack. Career Sphere handles transaction verification references but does not store raw credit card credentials on local servers.
11 Premium Features and Subscriptions
Books Premium and other tiered subscriptions unlock exclusive library access and special purchase discounts. Subscription terms, billing cycles, and renewal conditions are displayed at checkout.
12 Author Earnings and Withdrawals
Author royalties follow our standard intended revenue splits (e.g., 70/30 to 80/20 depending on author tier), subject to confirmed administrative terms, payout thresholds, and successful transaction settlements.
13 Intellectual Property
All platform software, branding, and proprietary assets belong to Career Sphere. Authors and users retain ownership of their original submitted works while granting Career Sphere the necessary license to host, display, and distribute content as requested.
14 User Conduct
Users agree not to engage in fraudulent activities, spamming, harassment, system vulnerability exploitation, unauthorized data scraping, or intellectual property infringement while utilizing Career Sphere.
15 Third-Party Services
Career Sphere may link to third-party websites or services. We assume no responsibility or liability for the content, privacy policies, or operational practices of independent third-party platforms.
16 Privacy and Data Protection
Our collection and processing of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
17 Service Availability and Changes
We strive to maintain high platform uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Career Sphere reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service with appropriate notice.
18 Disclaimers
Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Career Sphere disclaims all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
19 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Career Sphere shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform.
20 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Career Sphere, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the platform.
21 Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to services immediately upon notice for material breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or legal compliance requirements.
22 Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date. Continued use of the platform following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
23 Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved through FEDERAL HIGH COURT OF ABUJA.
